Two-building acquisition strengthens TransGlobe’s presence in the core of the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) |
| |
Vancouver–BC– December 14, 2006 –TransGlobe Property Management Services, Canada’s fastest growing property management company, is further strengthening its presence in the GVRD with today’s purchase of two residential buildings situated in Burnaby and New Westminster. |
|
The buildings, located at 7065 Linden Avenue in Burnaby and 1303 8th Avenue in New Westminster offer bachelor, one and two bedroom suites for rent. Together they add 67 units to the company’s impressive residential portfolio coast to coast. |
| |
This deal is the latest segment in the company’s acquisition strategy in the region. Only six weeks ago, TransGlobe purchased 13 apartment buildings – dispersed throughout seven BC cities – adding approximately 700 more suites to its national total which now stands at over 19,000 apartment units. |
| |
Situated in the geographical core of the GVRD, the cities of Burnaby and New Westminster feature high density residential areas, major commercial centres and coastal and valley rural areas—all of which are attractive features to the property management leader. |
| |
"We continue to look toward BC as we expand our residential holdings. It is a great province and Burnaby and New Westminster have solid rental markets. We are proud to offer affordable housing to residents in these cities and future growth in the Lower Mainland Region is expected," says TransGlobe President Daniel Drimmer. |
| |
One of the hallmarks of the company is to acquire mid-market assets in key population centres and leverage them to provide quality affordable homes to tenants. TransGlobe’s newest tenants can look forward to reasonable rental rates and apartments that are well-maintained and well-managed. |
| |
Central to the company’s philosophy is its tenant-focused approach to property management. TransGlobe places a high priority on tenant satisfaction by ensuring quick response times. It combines the use of advanced technology with innovative approaches to tenant issues and unwavering professionalism, which have earned the company unparalleled tenant loyalty across the country.

| |
TransGlobe’s commitment to high service standards can be seen in its implementation of a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week Customer Care Centre where tenants can have their maintenance requests or tenant issues handled any time of the day or night by qualified TransGlobe agents in 11 different languages. |
| |
"Our commitment to service is our way of saying to tenants that they are valued. We are intent on enhancing the rental experience of our tenants and know that we can begin to achieve this by providing service that meets or exceeds their expectations," says Leonard Drimmer, TransGlobe CEO. |
