Albro Lake Acquisition Joins Family of Affordable TransGlobe Residential Buildings.
Dartmouth–NS– December 20, 2006 –A multi-unit residential building purchased by TransGlobe Property Management Services today is the latest addition to a community of affordable apartment buildings owned and managed by the property management giant.
The building, located at 117 Albro Lake Road, consists of 11 two-bedroom units and is situated in the same community as the company’s Primrose Street, Leaman Drive and Victoria Road properties. Other buildings located on the same street include 104, 106, 143, 147 and 149 Albro Lake Road.
 
This purchase is a strategic move on the part of the company as it continues to expand in Dartmouth and Halifax Regional Municipality. Only six weeks ago the company purchased three more buildings in Dartmouth, two of which are on Albro Lake Road.
 
"The friendly and charming communities of Dartmouth make this region a very desirable place to grow our portfolio. We have developed a significant presence here and we will continue to seek out opportunities to further strengthen our hold in HRM," says TransGlobe President Daniel Drimmer.
 
The building sits in a quiet residential area and is conveniently located close to Burnside Industrial Park and both bridges that connect Dartmouth to Halifax. It is also close to the Navy base and downtown Halifax.
 
TransGlobe has been particularly successful in acquiring mid-market assets and leveraging them to provide quality affordable housing to tenants. It is renowned for buying under-managed buildings and completely repositioning them through renovations and upgrades.
