TransGlobe announces more investments in Quebec's rental market; the firm's acquisition of 259± residential suites vaults its portfolio over the 27,000 mark nationally
Montreal , QC – June 5, 2008 – TransGlobe Property Management Services announced today the acquisition of two residential properties in Montreal. They are conveniently located in the suburbs of Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Saint Laurent. Together they add a total of 259± suites to the firm's portfolio and push it over the 27,000 mark nationally.
The properties are located at:
· 300 Chemin de la Cote Vertu in St. Laurent
· 4450-4452 des Sources Boulevard in Dollard-des-Ormeaux
TransGlobe Property Management Services entered the Quebec rental market in a truly impressive fashion earlier this year. On January 22, the firm acquired 45 apartment buildings with over 1,300 units. At the time, TransGlobe also expressed a commitment to continue strengthening its brand throughout the province and investing in the local communities as well as their residents.
“Right now, we are simply staying true to our word,” said Daniel Drimmer, TransGlobe's President. “The demand for quality rental options is fantastic in Montreal and we are doing all that we can to meet it with the very best that we have to offer. This starts with the kind of properties and locations that we choose to invest in, through our upgrade and renovation plans and ending with truly heartfelt customer service at every step.”
Dollard-des-Ormeaux – a city of over 55,000 located West of Montreal's downtown core is a new addition to TransGlobe's portfolio. The property itself, situated along Des Sources Boulevard, one of the main commercial arteries in the area, offers a beautiful setting among trees and lawns, a secured entrance, storage rooms, surveillance cameras, an elevator, a fenced outdoor pool and onsite laundry as well as easy access to HWY 40 and public transportation.
“Although not a part of the Greater Montreal Area officially, the demand for rental housing is just as pronounced in Dollard-des-Ormeaux as it is in Montreal proper. And it is always exciting to introduce our brand of property management to a new community,” reflected Daniel Drimmer. “We do want to show as many people as we can why TransGlobe is an industry leader – from the very first day we take on each and every property.”
300 Chemin de la Cote Vertu is already the ninth property that TransGlobe owns in St. Laurent - one of Montreal's largest boroughs. All of them are actually centered around the same city block, which TransGlobe chose due to its convenient and accommodating location amidst parks, shops and schools and easy access to a commuter train station, Metro station and major highways.
“We have had great success in St. Laurent and this specific area mainly due to its truly convenient location,” commented Daniel Drimmer. “Considering the quality of the property's amenities, what we have planned in terms of restoration of the common elements and our everyday level of customer service, this will become a highly sought-after rental option for the people of St. Laurent.”
The property does in fact offer an enticing combination of onsite comforts and location. In addition to an accommodating residential neighbourhood, it offers a variety of recently renovated suites with hardwood flooring, balconies and in many instances with more than one bathroom, an indoor swimming pool, a laundry room, surveillance cameras and storage lockers.
“We entered the Quebec market with a very specific purpose in mind – to become one of the household names among the residents of Quebec who rely on quality, budget-conscious rental housing,” Daniel Drimmer summarized. “This is yet another step along the way, so stay tuned.”
