The purchase of HeronGate Shopping Mall adds to the community strategy in the HeronGate neighborhood for the property management company.
Ottawa – May 2, 2007 —TransGlobe Property Management Services is pleased to announce the acquisition of HeronGate Mall in Ottawa . The ownership and management of the retail property begins today.
This purchase demonstrates the continued commitment to growth in the Greater Ottawa Region. The acquisition represents a unique position for TransGlobe to utilize the shopping centre for the local Residents of HeronGate Village – a 1,750± unit apartment rental community purchased by the property management company on February 1 st of this year.
Located at 1670 Heron Road , Ottawa , the 225,000 sq. ft. mall is located at the corner of Walkley Road and Heron Road . The property hosts approximately 43 retail shops and offers a variety retailers to suit the needs of the local community.
The 2,000 plus Residents of the HeronGate residential community can expect to see special services offered to them with the incorporation of the shopping mall into the TransGlobe portfolio. The company has plans to blend the retail mall into the HeronGate Village apartment rental experience.
Commencing immediately, the citizens of Ottawa can expect to see extensive upgrades to the shopping facility to include:
